To get a NewCon Steel quote, send the quantity (linear metres, panel m² or tons), the profile family and thickness, the destination country and the required on-site date; an engineer replies within 24 business hours from our Panama City plant.
From the form to the quotation
No invisible phases. These are the four steps and their timings.
Acknowledgement and assignment
We receive your request, an engineer reviews it, and we confirm receipt. If a critical piece of information is missing, we ask for it in that same email — not two weeks later.

We review the scope, the profile family and thickness, the level of pre-assembly and the design code of the destination country. We do not quote blind.
Formal quotation
It arrives in writing: scope of supply, documentation included, dispatch terms and the confirmed Incoterm. No numbers over the phone.
48 hOrigin, documentation and scheduling
Once the order is confirmed, we coordinate classification and the Panamanian certificate of origin with your customs broker, and we schedule production against your on-site date.
What to include in your request
None of these items is asked for on a whim: each one changes the price, the lead time or the document we have to issue. If you do not have one of them, say so and we will work with what you have.
- Quantity: linear metres of profile, m² of panel or tons of structure. If you do not have it yet, send the built area and the building typology.
- Profile family and thickness, within the 0.85 to 2.5 mm range. If you do not know it, send the structural use and we will define it.
- Drawings, structural model or take-off, if they already exist. This is what accelerates the quotation most.
- Scope: loose profiles, pre-assembled panels, a complete structural kit or bolted structural steel?
- Destination country and city, and the port or delivery point.
- Applicable design code: REP-2021 (Panama), NSR-10 (Colombia), IBC/ASCE 7 (Caribbean) or another.
- The Incoterm you want to compare against, and the name of your customs broker if you have already appointed one.
- Required on-site date, and whether there is a critical window (season, academic calendar, contractual milestone).
The tariff, clear from the quote onward
We issue the Panamanian certificate of origin, and you claim from your own customs authority whatever preference applies under the agreement covering your country. The final duty is set by the destination customs authority — so we quote straight rather than promise duty-free entry or a DDP price built on zero duty. Where the project warrants it, we pursue an advance ruling on origin and classification, so the figure becomes a certainty instead of an expectation.
